Chapter 24 - The Baron in Black

This is our final confrontation with Reydrick. About a year ago Leif fled Munster a fugitive, he returns a conqueror. The map is divided into three areas. The left has a group working to rescue children hostages from the Loptian Order, the right side units are positioned to take out a group of the Welkenrosen that are boxed in a room and spamming support staves. Lastly, we have units in the central hallway to storm the throne room and take out Reydrick. Units positions 1,4,7,10,13,16 start in the center, 2,5,8,11,14,17 start in the left, 3,6,9,12,15,18 start on the right.

My first order of business on this map is to shut down all the staff users in the bottom right box. I fire away with all the Silence staves I have, neutralizing the Sorceror with the Restore Staff, before then silencing the Berserk and Sleep staff users. From there the map is mostly uneventful. A few reckless situations led me to have to dodge a few kill shots, but otherwise the map goes as planned.

The left side units don't have much of a problem taking out mages as they try to pick up the children, and the center has me moving Mareeta up far with Lara's dance support to recruit Gulzas, then let my other units catch up as I take out the mercenaries. There is a lot of down time in this map, as I have to bring one specific kid over to the door in the top of the map in order to receive the Kaia staff to reach 24x. In the meantime, I have Pan steal all the useful staves from the unarmed Sorcerors in the box on the right, then killed them with Nanna for exp, as all the enemy Sorcerors give a ton of exp.

Eventually some Sorcerors start spawning from right beside the throne, but since Lara and Safiya are unarmed, they pioritize picking them up which let me get a bunch of level ups for Leif with relatively low risk. Once I got the Kaia staff, we seize the throne.

While Reydrick has been finally defeated, we still have one more target to go after before this region can be truly liberated. There is an underground Loptian Church stationed right under Munster castle, and we need to defeat Veld to free Northern Thracia once and for all. Sources say that Veld was the one who petrified Eyval. Sarah reveals to Leif at this point that she is descendant of Manfloy, and is able to undo the seal, so we head down into the temple in search for Eyval.
