We catch up with Ced and Asbel, who have located the children in the prison. The chapter is a dark map, where you get to recruit Asbel, one of the strongest attacking units in the game and one of the best boss killers. His signature tome, Grafcalibur, is a high power 40% crit wind tome that is very good at tearing through stronger targets, especially since you don't have to worry about +10 Def from terrain. There are also some good equips to get from treasure boxes in the map, such as the Brave Sword.

Fortunately, Dalsin comes with a free torch, so I don't have to worry THAT much about lack of vision. There's a bunch of enemies at the start of the map, with both armors and mages, making for a bit of a difficult start. But once you get past that the map gets easier. So long as you aren't getting a bit too far ahead of yourself. Which... I did and died to a 40%. Whoops.

This is a map where I take some advantage of enemy attacking AI, where I bait them into capturing my units and attacking into unarmed units in order to keep my party safe.I'm able to free the children without much issue, recruit Asbel and talk to Ced with Karin to pick up Ced's Scroll. Scrolls are level up modifiers that give some extra growth %s when you have them in your inventory. Having multiple scrolls adds all their effects onto your level ups making for some potential big stat gains. It's useful to make use of these scrolls whenever possible.

After freeing the children and talk to Ced, I enter into the treasure room to pick up some items. I try to get a capture on the Devil Axe Armor, but Leif triggers Adept and KOs him. I also fail the capture chance on the bishop to try to take another Elfire tome and a Physic because follow up attack crits, but I do capture one of the Axe armors so that I can get Dalsin a Hand Axe, which should come in handy going forward. After that, it's just a matter of everyone walking to the end point and we're out of the prison and on to Chapter 5.
