We have reached our destiation of Tahra. Leif wastes no time in meeting up with generals to help devise a plan of action to weather the upcoming seige. Friege's army is now in place and ready to begin the assault. A large battle is about to unfold. Eda, and Dean also join in to help out in this fight. We learn that Dean was actually sent here personally by Prince Aurion to oversee and help defend Linoan and Tahra from the empire during their uprising, as Linoan is actually Aurion's fiancee. Aurion would have flown to her aid personally, but couldn't leave the Thracia unattended.

This is the first instance of a Defend map in this game. The goal is to simply survive for 10 turns, as waves of enemies pour in. There are a couple houses way outside the perimeter of the castle walls, but they can be a bit tricky to go after, making them a bit less worth going for, but the items received from them are definitely worth the trip. A large number of the enemies initially on the map are armors, making armor effective weaponry really nice to have to quickly deal with the enemies. I do need to be careful however, not create a situation for myself where I kill too many enemies allowing them to get enough hits in to finally KO one of my units.

The boss units on this map are fairly strong. They have a Meisterlanze and Meisteraxt, which are powerful brave range 1-2 weapons, along with them being Generals so that they have a random chance of negating all damage from an attack. One of them just sits off to the side, and I don't have to worry too much about him, the other is leading the charge from just south of the castle city walls, and he a more immediate threat. Unlike the previous map, killing the bosses does not cause the enemies to stop attacking, so it's best to just steer clear of the bottom left side of the map until I've gotten everything else under control, although, it is possible to put the bosses to sleep. In fact, putting the boss in the bottom left to sleep can allow me to take his stuff, though it's still difficult to actually have the time to pick him up to do so.

We open the map by visiting houses in the city, and using Dean to snipe one of the Ballistas on the left side of the map. There is a house in the top right that Nanna can visit to recruit Homer, a wandering bard who tries to hit on Nanna. However, that particular house is in the firing range of a couple Ballista so it takes a few turns before I get into a good position to visit the house.

Halvan with a Hammer puts in a ton of work in this map. He's almost single-handedly able to stop the flood of enemies on one side of the map, while most of my units stick around handling the others. I have to deal with one of the bosses really early, and I do so by double stacking Charm with Nanna and Leif (w/ Kingsword) and have Asbel go in for the attack. Asbel fails the crit checks so he has to dodge two 20% accurate Meisterlanze throws which OHKO him, but he manages to do so and we survive.

I had a lot of near death instances in this map, because I was trying to grind some exp for Mareeta, where I gave her Vantage and just let her go after the right side of the map, and... let's just say she had more than her fair share of life or death dodges. But, unlike how things usually go, she dodged every single one to live. Eventually things get a bit more under control. I have Karin fly down to the house on the bottom right, and have everyone else start moving to the left side of the map.

I knew that Thracian Wvyern Knights eventually show up late in the map, but couldn't quite remember which turn it was, but they showed up a turn later than I thought, on Turn 8, and I wasn't in range to be spawn sniped by any of them. On Turn 9, a brigade of Loptian Order Sorcerors show up on the right side of the map and make a rush forward into the city. I actually completely forgot that that was a thing that would happen, but was fortunate enough that I was already moving to the left to avoid getting spawn sniped by them as well.

The house on the bottom left provides Dean a special weapon, but he must be the one to visit the house. It's heavily guarded as the boss sits right beside the house and there is an Iron Ballista stationed near there as well. I have Salem but both of them to sleep to allow for Dean to visit the house. Altena shows up and provides Dean with the Dragonpike, a Brave Lance with built in Vantage. And from there we end the map.

The reason the Thracian Knights are in the area is to pretend they are allying with the Empire to help them take over Tahra. But their real objective is to backstab the Empire at the last moment and to claim Tahra for their own. As it is, while Leif has fought hard to defend the city, they are unable to defend it forever. And the arrival of the Loptian Order's Welkenrozen means that a massacre and mass child hunt would occur once the resistance forces are subdued. Aurion asks Travant to let him take care of the capture of the city, in which Travant lets his son do as he pleases. Aurion flies in to Tahra and requests Linoan to surrender and let Thracia occupy the city, promising that Thracia will protect its citizens from the empire. Linoan is eventually convinced to let Aurion take control of the city, however she chooses to depart from the city with Leif and his forces, in order to join the cause to take down the empire. Aurion agrees to the terms that once the Empire is defeated, Linoan will be allowed to regain control over her kingdom.
