The final showdown with Veld. Manfloy pays him a visit, and he is not too pleased with how Veld has gotten himself backed into a corner. However, to respect the fact that the entire plot to get Quan assassinated and to steal Northern Thracia away from Travant right as he unified Thracia was all a carefully orchestrated plot by Veld, and that if they are able to stop Leif here, it can leave the Loptian Order unchecked in the region, Manfloy decides to give Veld a chance here, and provides him some assisstance with a group of Deadlords.
The map has six different rooms each with a Deadlord and a few accompanying enemies. Leif's army starts in 6 different locations in front of each room. The goal is to defeat the Deadlords and stand someone on the seal in the center of each room. Once this is fulfilled, the room in the center of the map will open on the following turn allowing us to approach and defeat Veld.

The third of the most infamous FE5 maps. Just one final challenge before the final chapter with this nightmare of a map. We are infiltrating the Loptian temple, Augustus briefs Leif about finding Eyval, then using a warp mechanism in the center of the area in order to warp straight to where Veld is hiding in order to take him out. This map is a total mess, and this set of pictures sums up part of the reason why:
There are constant enemy reinforcements of Rewarp Sorcerors, who will warp in and block my path on a narrow corridor. There are status staff users, Fenrir tome Sorcerors, enemies get get Warped in from the bottom room in the map that have Sleep Swords. The enemy Sorcerors have Hel tomes that drop HP to 1 upon hit. And to top it all off, there are invisible tiles spread out around the map that instantly warp a unit to an inescapable box, where the only way out is by warp/rescue magic, or death. Did I mention that this is also a Dark map and an Escape chapter?
This is a map where it is best to just unload Warp, Rescue and Rewarp as much as possible, and one where it is highly recommended to bring as few units as possible. I do not remember at all where any of the trap tiles are, and honestly I don't really feel like finding out.

This is our final confrontation with Reydrick. About a year ago Leif fled Munster a fugitive, he returns a conqueror. The map is divided into three areas. The left has a group working to rescue children hostages from the Loptian Order, the right side units are positioned to take out a group of the Welkenrosen that are boxed in a room and spamming support staves. Lastly, we have units in the central hallway to storm the throne room and take out Reydrick. Units positions 1,4,7,10,13,16 start in the center, 2,5,8,11,14,17 start in the left, 3,6,9,12,15,18 start on the right.

We approach the outskirts of Munster. Civilians and children are evacuating the castle town area. Ced can only do so much while holding the enemy lines, but fortunately Saias happens to be wandering in the area, he volunteers to bring the escaped children to safety. While their meeting is short, Ced feels that he can trust Saias, and provides him a weapon to give to Leif. The Blagi Blade, the sword of the crusader Blagi, that can be used to counteract the defensive aura of Reydrick's Loptian Fang blade.
This map ties into the end of Chapter 8 of FE4, where you meet Ced. The boss gets killed in a cutscene by Ced once I approach close enough to the castle. The map can be annoying if I wait for a bit asdark mages start spawning at literally random locations around the map, which can include basically spawning right on top of my units. As a result, this is another quick map to clear.
I Rewarp Sarah into the forest just outside the castle, and she wipes out all the enemies close to the area. Rewarping in triggers the boss to get KO'd by Ced. I also Silence the two Sleep Staff dark mages. Afterwards, I Rescue staff Leif in so he can talk to Ced. Then bring Saias up to Leif so Leif can talk to Saias to receive the Blagi Blade, then seize the gate. Now it is time for our final showdown with Reydrick.

The second of what I'd say would be the three most infamous chapter of Thracia 776. Leif is confronted by Reinhardt when trying to cross the River Thracia on his march towards Munster. In addition to Reinhardt, Saias is present in the area, overseeing the outcome of this battle.

Leif meets with Seliph. They agree to a plan of Seliph continuing the march of the liberation army along the coast side towards Connaught, fighting the main force of Friege head on. In the mean time, Leif's army is free to cut straight through to Munster to reclaim the capital of Northern Thracia. If all goes well, him and Seliph will rendezvous in Munster. Julia mentions that it might be a good idea to visit the church to the east side of this map before the two armies part ways.
This map is another ballista heavy map, and is sort of a calm before the storm of some of the most diffcult maps of the game coming up. I can one turn clear the map, but due to the fact that I only got to get one warp staff due to choosing the other route, and that I REALLY want the warp staff uses for the next map, I'll have to make do with playing this map at least somewhat as intended, with the goal of dashing up to the boss to KO them, then warping Leif in to seize. By this point in the game, fatigue is a bit less of a factor as most of my units have a real HP stat, so they can last a few chapters consecutively. But the game still gives me way too many deploy spots, so I just fill the remainder with units with leadership stars. Similar as with the previous map.

A half a year has passed and Leonster still holds on. Although Leif and co are at their limits, being cornered to a final barricade in the castle. However, Leif isn't the only one feeling a sense of urgency. The Empire is suddenly feeling real pressure from the advancing liberation army led by Seliph. At this point, they are already on their way to march to Alster, having crossed the Yeid desert and also taking out Liza and Ishtore. It has become a race against time to whether Leonster or Alster falls first.
The chapter is a 15 turn defend map with some extremely annoying starting locations. There's a ton of locked doors which impede my own movement around the map more than it does slow down the enemy, and all my units start scattered all over the map. The map thus becomes more about regrouping and getting through a bunch of doors so that I can face the enemy party properly. I have a lot of dead roster space for this map, so I decide to bring characters like Xavier, Glade, and Conomor, who provide additional leadership stars onto my roster. Each star provdes +3 acc/evade, but it does add up when I'm stacking 3 or 4 of them into the map.
I remember the general idea about this map, but some of the details about what enemies show up does elude me. This is the cause for some resets, along with trying to get my inventory managed properly with regards to my starting locations. The enemies are fairly weak at the beginning, and thus aren't particularly dangerous, but the later enemy reinforcements include Ballista, Iron Ballista, and Meteor Mages which all can be annoying due to them getting a first strike onto my team. This lack of remembrance is the main source of resets for this map. Otherwise, the map isn't particularly interesting and most of the enemies are wiped out by Turn 8 or 9 leaving me sitting around for a bunch of turns.
The seige ends as the Friege forces are forced to retreat. Alster has fallen to Seliph's liberation army. Diarmuid has come over, sent by Seliph, to bring word of the arrival of the liberation army and to reunite with his sister Nanna. He decides to stay with our forces. It is now time to mount our counterattack to reclaim Connaught and Munster.
