Chapter 6 - Rumors of a Reaper

Monastery Exploration

Flayn is missing, but we've got some work to do so she will have to sit down there in the dungeon for a few weeks. A lot of my characters hit level 10 in the previous chapter, so there are a lot of class changes that I perform this month. Unfortunately, I don't have enough intermediate seals to class change everybody because I cannot freely purchase Intermediate Seals from the shop yet, and forgot to be purchasing seals in advanced to prepare for promotions, so a few characters get left hanging.

I manage to get a few more characters to B support, so they can join the waiting room of potential self-recruitment while I do some other things. Hilda recruits herself to my class, although I'm not entirely sure whether I plan to use her much or not in this run.

During the second Sunday, I do a rare monster Auxiliary Battle for a Gradivus, and play Dedue's Paralogue. I got a bit lucky with the random location of the monster, and got a demonic beast in the mountains who is basically trapped in the top left corner, making the battle trivial. The Gradivus will be helpful later on in the game once I ever get the 10 Mithril I need to restore it.

Paralogue: War for the Weak

Deploy: Rikka, Dedue, Dimitri, Lysithea (Felix), Annette, Ashe, Mercedes, Ingrid

Dedue's Paralogue. As this is a paralogue that is exclusive to Blue Lions, it is a map that I have not encountered in my previous runs. The goal for the map is for me to defeat the enemy commander before the NPC units reach them. Stretch goal of reducing enemies killed by the Kingdom NPCs. Given that I'm playing this map as soon as it has opened up for me, my levels are a bit lower than I would probably be recommended to have for the map.

The map is in the mountains and I'm only allowed to deploy 8 units, which makes things a bit more hazardous of a map. However, a lot of the enemies have fairly low AS and low res, which allows both Annette and Lysithea to hit twice, dealing heavy damage to enemies if not just out right KOing them in one attack round.

Overall, the map goes pretty smoothly. All the characters I end up bringing play a big role in the map. Ingrid being a Pegasus now allows her to fly upwards to the north and help kill steal from the green units. Having Reposition on Ingrid also allows me to nagivate the mountains a bit better as I can use her to reposition units to jump them over ledges assisting in the mobility of my other units through the map. Dimitri did a lot of heavy lifting on the push forward progressing south on the map. Through a combination of Shield, Def +2, and Battalion, he has 23 Defense and is able to easily shrug off all the enemy attacks. This allows him to take the point and pull in all the enemies for Annette and Lysithea to take out on Player Phase. Ashe being an Archer now allows him to fight back vs enemy Archers, and similar to Chapter 5, his use of Deadeye and now Range 4 Curved Shot go a long way into keeping enemy Archers in check. Rikka and Dedue, being still Beginner class units, are mostly here for the ride. Rikka's high attack stat along with Curved Shot is still of solid utility, along with being able to heal as a Monk.

One Divine Pulse use, because I forgot that Training Bow and Training Bow+ are the same Mt, so I missed a key KO by 1HP, this was quickly fixed by simply trading to get an Iron Bow out instead. We routed a sufficient amount of Duscur soldiers and received a 10000G bullion for our efforts.
