Chapter 14 - The Delusional Prince (Cont.)

Dimitri is unstable, and is talking to the dead that haunt him. There's not much we can do for him at the moment, and not much time to console him as Randolph and the Imperial Vanguard are at the doorstep of the Monastery. Randolph totally doesn't death flag himself when talking to Fleche. Nope, not at all.

Compared to the Paralogue we just played, the enemy strength in this Chapter are a bit more... manageable, shall we say. There are primarily Lance and Axe weilding units on this map, and their AS is way more manageable compared to all the Assassins and Heroes I was facing before. However, there are still a lot of Pegasus Knights on the map, and there should be a handful of Falcon Knight reinforcements as well, which can be trouble due to all the trees and winding fences around the map that restrict my movement.

For the most part, this chapter is all about ensuring that you never give the chance for any of the reinforcement Falcon Knights to do anything. It is important to pay attention to their movement range, so that you don't put yourself in a spot where their reach can trap any units. Most of the other units on the map are manageable, but they can still get in the way of dealing with the key threat in Falcon Knights.

My units start off divided into a main force on the left, and a small side group on the right. I have Rikka, Hilda, and Annette take on the right side, while my other units dealt with the large Imperial forces on the left. Flayn, Dimitri, and Ashe were the MVPs for this particular map. Dimitri with Battalion Wrath Killer+ just erases anyone who dares attack into him, allowing him to easily clean out some enemies on the counter attack, and is my only unit that doesn't fear the threat of Falcon Knights. Ashe with Hunter's Volley was very effective in quickly KOing enemy Pegasus Knights and the Falcon Knights, and was used to snipe the Sniper manning the Onager, while I used Flayn's Rescue magic to pull Ashe back out to safe territory.

The right side of the map is fairly straight forward to deal with as it only has a small amount of enemies around, but the Pegasus Knights around on the right were still very dangerous because they could 2x hit and kill any of the three characters I had on that side of the map. I used the NPC Swordmaster as bait in order to get the Pegasus Knights to move at the end, but once I had that cleared out, Hilda went to the left to rejoin my other units, while Rikka manned the Onager to throw rocks down on the foes.

Gambit Hit and Run Rescue Tactics were critical to this map

The left side of the map takes some navigating to get through. I had to do a few hit and run Rescue magic operations at the start to take out some of the enemies with Ashe while my other units took out the enemy frontline. Things start to get a bit more hectic once I get past the forests and fences. The enemies on the road area started to move, and were joined with some reinforcement Falcon Knights and Paladin. In order to keep the enemies from overrunning my position, I used a Stride, and a Line of Lances from Dimitri, to stun the high movement units, used Ashe and Lysithea's ranged attacks to take out some of the nearby Armors, then used Flayn to Rescue Dimitri out of the way.

After dealing with those enemies, I made a rush towards the boss and dropped a Resonant Lightning, nailing all the units in the area, allowing me a safe approach and to finish off the rest of Randolph's troops.

One Divine Pulse use, because halfway into the battle I forgot that Hilda still gets killed by a 2x hit from enemy Pegasus Knights, and she got hit by a couple 55%s and died.

Randolph is defeated, and Dimitri plans to slowly torture him and make him suffer, but Rikka executes Randolph giving him a swift end. Dimitri is not pleased with the action. But alas, we are able to defend the Monastery.
