Petra and Bernadetta's Paralogue. We head to a forest in Brigid to help Petra meet up with her grandfather who is currently ruling over Brigid, and to ensure the Empire cannot force Brigid to fight for them.

Despite what the map says initially, it is a rout chapter. There are a number of enemy reinforcements that show up once Petra approaches the bottom right corner of the map. Some of the enemies that show up can be really dangerous, like Hubert with Meteor, or the Falcon Knights that spawn from the top left, so it is important for me to be prepared before triggering them to spawn.

The map has a lot of Sword and Lance units, and there's a lot of dense forest with enemies stuffed into the trees. I had Lysithea go on a solo mission throughout the right side of the map, picking off the enemy units one by one with range 4 Dark Spikes. Everyone else headed to the left side with the less densly wooded pathway.

I had cleared out most of the enemies except for the ones in the bottom right corner of the map without too much incident, but things get a lot more dicey once I trigger the enemy Reinforements. I feel like I could have spent an additional turn to get my units into better positioning, but just went with it to see how it would go. Each enemy group came with some additional units, and this actually ended up mattering as the new unit that spawned on the reinforcements on the right would be able to reach the end point that I needed to block within two turns of movement.

While I said I wasn't going to use Marianne anymore, I brought her to this map for a single purpose, which she performed once the reinforcements arrived: Use Silence on Hubert. Hubert starts deep in the trees in the bottom left of the map and has Meteor, so it is extremely bad for me to let him to his own devices. I used Sylvain with a Wave Attack Gambit in order to stun the rest of the units accompanying Hubert and took them out while I started to move my units into position to go after the bottom right side of the map. Dimitri was used to go solo upwards to confront the enemy Pegasus Knights and Assassins, as he takes minimal damage from their attacks.

As mentioned, a Paladin would be able to reach the end zone by the next turn, but there were a lot of enemies around that area, making it a bit difficult of an approach. I use Lysithea, Sylvain, Dorothea, and Ingrid to take out a few enemies while standing them in a "|-" shape position. Then I move Rikka over to use the Blue Lion's Dancer Gambit to refresh all 4 characters, then proceeded to use a second Wave Attack to stun all the enemies around the end zone, and pick off a few of the stragglers who were not affected. Once this was done, I had a decent amount of control over the map to clean up.

One Divine Pulse used. Dimitri got hit with a 0 damage 30% accurate Gambit. Which I didn't think much of, until the next two enemies after that swing at him for 15x2 and 12x2 as a result of the Rattling. While Dimitri survived, this wrecked the durability of his Battalion so I pulsed back and changed my action which made the Battalion miss.

Petra reaches her destination and we are able to receive some aid from Brigid. Now, it's time to go to Ailell.
